Missouri · Statewide Care Register

Mental health care in Missouri, sorted by where you live.

Finding help is hard enough without wading through jargon. This directory maps established mental health and depression providers across the state, indexed by region and by the kind of care they offer, so you can find a starting point closer to home. If your depression has not lifted, you do not have to wait until you have tried everything to look at your options.

How to Use the Register

Three steps to a shortlist

STEP 01

Start with your region

Pick the part of the state closest to you. Most people do better with care they can actually reach, especially treatments that require in-person visits.

STEP 02

Match the type of care

Talk therapy, psychiatry and medication, or newer options like TMS and Spravato. Our types of care guide explains the differences in plain terms.

STEP 03

Call and ask about coverage

Confirm the provider takes your insurance, including MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid), and ask about current wait times before you commit.

A Note on Timing

You do not have to wait until you have tried everything.

Modern depression care is available sooner than most people think. If your depression has not lifted the way you hoped, it is reasonable to ask a provider about your options now, not only after years of trying. Reaching out earlier tends to keep more doors open.
